I am an MBA. I was hired on campus by a multi national company. I was posted in Bangalore. I started working a month ago. This is my first job.

I have rented a small two bed room apartment near Koramangla. Now I need to furnish my house and buy other household items.

Should I seek the help of an interior decorator who can do the entire job for me? (I have a small budget. Besides, the furniture and other household goods I buy should not cram the place.)

Or, should I buy the things myself? If so, are there any shops near Koramangla where I can buy good quality furniture and other household items at a reasonable price.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I want to decorate my home a little bit Victorian, a little bit Sherlock Holmes era. I love the old, intricate and ornate decor! How can I do this on a limited budget?

How do we furnish our first apartment?

My boyfriend and I are moving into an apartment together in May. Its a small, 2 bedroom apartment and we’re both 18 and very low on cash. I want it to feel fun, young and homey. Any ideas or tips on where to look for things or what I can do myself in our new place?

I don’t want to spend a ton of money because college is expensive as it is… I’m gonna be able to take a hand-me-down couch, bedroom dresser and TV. What about furnishing the rest of the apartment?

Also, what are some inexpensive ways to decorate?
