What are the different seasons in home-furnishings?

My father has an old 1827 farmhouse he wants to turn into a bed and breakfast. He is trying to choose a style for the furnishing but we are really at a loss. Any information or reading suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I am working on translating my work product catalogue from Swedish to English. We manufacture interior decoration products, mostly window furnishings, drapery, that kind of thing. But I’m totally stuck on what the English word for one of our products is!

The kind of thing I’m trying to give a name to is often used in childrens rooms, and often found with crib furnishing sets, but I’ve never yet found one that actually gives it a name.

It’s usually a soft, probably netting, curtain, that goes over the bed, and can be drawn back usually to tiebacks at each side.

(Before I get accused of advertising, neither of those are my companies site, they are good example pictures though.)

It has the perfectly charming name in Swedish of "Sänghimmel" which more or less means "Bed heaven" or "Bed Sky". But that doesn’t help me much.

right now i have wood furnishing and white walls. I want to paint. If could recommend an exact color/ brand, that would help. Thanks!
