I am moving into a furnished apartment and absolutely HATE the mismatched wood furniture of the desk and dresser in the bedroom. The styles of the furniture aren’t even the same (The Dresser being clunky and the desk being sleek). So how could I cover it up without painting it or anything else that would be considered "permanent". Buying new furniture is not an option.

Furnishing and decorating our first house?

My husband, dog and I are building our first home. We have made a lot of personal touches and we are very excited to move in! I have begun thinking about ways to decorate. I have decorated for holidays and different apartments we have lived in, but this is a much bigger task. We have to buy pretty much all new furniture and decorate the house. I don’t know whether to hire someone to help or try to do it on my own room by room. Any advice would be helpful!

Where can I find good used furniture?

I’m getting my own apartment for the first time. Before I always had roommates or furnished apartments. I don’t want to spend thousands on buying new furniture sets. Where can I find good furniture (ie: not rat infested and clean) at affordable prices.

I live in central Texas, so if anyone’s from there, I’ll take specific recommendations too.

Im moving out in a few months & will be renting a room. I want to start from scratch. New furniture, decorations, ect.

I’m wondering how much it would cost to furnish a 3 bedroom, 2000 sq. ft home. We’re planning to buy all new furniture.

How much did it cost for you, and what furniture stores did you go to? Do you have a lot of hand-me-downs? Please include how many bedrooms you have and/or square footage.
